Our Opinion & Review Of Wilds Wood Watches
Wilds Wood is an Australian wooden watch maker that builds unique mid-range to premium priced wooden watches. They have about a half dozen collections with a total of about 40 different collection and color combinations.
The rebellious nature of their Australian heritage is obvious in some of their watch designs. While they do carry many classic wooden watch styles, we love the flashy colors of the Dual Wheel Automatic Wooden Watch collection that makes Wilds Wood stand out from other watch makers.
The prices of Wilds Wood watches start around $50 for lower end of their models up to $250 for their premium, automatic movement watches.
Our Recommendation: Recommended BUY
What Makes Wilds Wood Watches Different?
While other companies like Original Grain or Burnham build classic wooden watches with some modern style, Wilds Wood really steps out and uses brighter, shiny colors that are going to attract attention to your wrist.
They also focus on using automatic movements that keep the watches wound automatically in their more premium watches.
What Sets Wilds Watches Apart From Other Brands?
In a sea of different wooden watches, Wilds Woods are going to be sure to make you stop and look a little more closely at their style, watch face design and attention to detail. Trust us, if you are shopping for a great wooden watch – Wilds Wood should be at the top of your list.
- You will find unique wood and steel watches made from hand, and the pairing of brightly colored faces like blue, yellow, silver and black with naturally elegant wood grain watch bands and crowns.
- The Dual Wheel Auto Collection and the Premium Self Winding collections are specifically designed for the premium watch market and watch lovers in general. They feature automatic movements and skeleton watch faces that allow you to see the inside mechanics of these great watches. They do a great job of pairing modern mechanics and a style of engineering with the warmth of wood. Wilds Wood actually makes a number of great watches that feature skeleton faces and automatic movements. You can check out our favorites on our Best Skeleton Wooden Watches Guide.
- Wilds Wood also builds a number of different watches for women that feature delicate round faces. They are primarily wood, featuring solid wood bands and solid wood crowns and faces – but in usual Wilds watch design style – they use some fine steel rings around the face to increase durability and style.
Truly Unique Wood Watches: These watches will really feature any style or pricepoint you are looking for.

Wilds Watch Review Conclusion
We rate Wilds Wood watches very highly overall for the watch quality, design and company performance and customer service.
Some of their more moderately prices watches with classic designs are fairly comparable to other watch companies like Burnham Watches, Bobo Bird, and BeWell – but if you are looking for a modern styled wooden watch with some personality and an automatic movement – Wilds Wood is one our top choices.
The wood choices for Wilds Wood are also a little different than most other wood watch builders. Yes, they use many of the standards like zebrawood, ebony wood, rose wood etc. – but they also use some more rare and exotic wood choices for a watch like: walnut, kosso wood and ambila wood.
